The history behind the harpist:
The marble figurine (last picture) represents a seated harpist at the moment of playing. He sits on a particularly elaborate throne. He rests on his right thigh a musical instrument of triangular construction, interpreted as a harp or lyre. The face is turned to the sky. The nose is the only plastic feature of the face. It is kept in good condition. Parts of both arms are missing from the elbow, and it consists of reassembled fragments. Its size is 21.5 cm.
Our creation is the throne of harpist in real size and is a unique piece worldwide. It is sculptured in original Naxian marble known as the brightest of the different types of marble but in parallel the hardest. This makes the work of the sculpturer very hard but the final result stands out.
The throne of the harpist has been carved in one piece of Naxian marble while in parallel we considered the material's static.
