The history behind the Piper:

Avlites is an early artwork of the Cyclades that was found in 1875 in a tomb at Erimonisia of Keros. The marble statue represents a piper standing at the moment of playing a flute. He rests on the lips of the channel, which he holds with both hands. The face is turned towards the sky. The nose is the only plastic feature of the face. Both feet are on the ground. The bus is broken and pieces are missing. It is kept in very good condition. This is a unique example of his subject in Proto-Cycladic sculpture. The piper and the harpist are the unique and most ancient examples of sculpture that show three-dimensional development in space. It was built in 2800 – 2300 BC. A characteristic feature is that the statue is presented naked. Its size is 50 cm.

Our creation is 180 cm in height and is a unique piece worldwide. It is sculptured in original Naxian marble known as the brightest of the different types of marble but in parallel the hardest. This makes the work of the sculpturer very hard but the final result stands out.
